I don't have any PBR news to speak of, though I do have a sort of sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's caused either by the steady NASCAR-ification of the PBR, or because I ate a banana and a smoked sausage for breakfast and the twain really shouldn't have met...

The avatar is a picture I took of Guilherme Marchi in Anaheim, 2007. It was the perfect cowboy picture in regards to the position I caught him in, but it came out really blurry. So, I antiqued it and added some "motion" to it on photoshop and made it look, imo, a little better. Unfortunately, the pixilation is a little off here, so it doesn't look quite as good as it does in real life, but you can still get a good sense of what it really looks like.
This isn't exactly "h e l l", nor is it confirmed, but it got a "WTH?" from me:
Rumor has it that all rounds of the finals will be drafts. Huh? I mean, it was a fun idea that worked out well this year, but I don't think it should be for all rounds.
Three more days and we'll find out for sure! Unfortunately, I may not get to round 1 until Saturday since we'll be out with the kids trick or treating. My only hope is that, since my 7 year old has an 8:30am soccer game and has to be at the field by 8am, we won't be out too late because she'll need to get her sleep and be up early the next morning. Maybe we can cut that night short--the kids don't need that much candy, right?

All I can think about the draft rumor is that, if it's true, it's so Justin can be assured a re-match with Bones.
I think it silly to have it all rounds too. I mean, if you just pick the bull you want, that takes a lot of the "chance" out. A "random" draw (and just for the record, I'd like to see how "random" that really is one day) means that you have to be prepared to ride anything in the bull pen, and you may get rank or you may get SQ's grandmother's ****er spaniel. You may or may not get a big score on your rank bull, but you assuredly won't get a good score on the dog. Of course, rank bulls have off days but the odds are in your favor that they won't and you'll get a better score if you stay on. I dunno. Seems like they'd have a mix of draft and draw.
You poor thing! I hadn't even thought about Halloween being thrown into the mix. I should have. Even though we don't get Trick or Treaters here, and even though I don't have children that age, I've been trying to decide whether or not to go to my neighbor's Halloween Party. We should. We like these neighbors. BUT we'll miss bull riding!!!!!!!!!!!!! argh.
Why the heck does the PBR end the season in October anyway?? Let them end it in mid November for heaven's sake. Well the heck away from contentious elections and between holidays.
I don't suppose just buying the kids each two bags of their favorite candy and having their friends over for a costume party that your husband can oversee would work eh?

If you look under the activities section for the Finals on the PBR web site, it does indicate drafts for all seven rounds. I imagine this will give the leaders some advantage, don't you think? I also figure this will give McBride his opportunity to reride Bones.
That's right! I forgot about Bones and McBride. Heh. Well, he'll have to finish high enough the night before Bones is on the list and then hope no one gets to him first. Oh, wait...what am I thinking? Of course, he'll get on Bones again.
Unfortunately, Jean, I can't do a party here--we always go to my in-laws' house. They live in one of those neighborhoods where people have the money, time and desire to do up Halloween to the hilt. Lighting, spooking noises, huge decorations all over the houses--it's like something out of a movie. I actually enjoy it, too. I just wish it wasn't on a PBR night.
