Wow! What a great list! I couldn't even begin to guess who the round winner will be. I'm looking forward to watching tonight.

Did Ross or Brendon pick first? Some of these are familiar names and there are others I've never heard of, which is always exciting. Only 30 more minutes!

WOW the bulls were awesome tonight!! Chicken looked fabulous. So glad Renato stuck with him for a great ride again.

Sick to freaking death of JB Mauney. I seriously need for him to buck off soon.  Sorry to see Adriano buck off again, but did enjoy Justin's second pitchin'. I appreciated his actually nice response to the dumb question posed by Leah which was basically "Do you think the other guys deserve to be here". WTF kind of question was that? Who came up with it?

EWWWWW moment was the very graphically dislocated shoulder. WOAH moment was the rider that bucked off, laid in the dirt until the bull kicked him all the way up on his feet again. "Don't just lay there whimpering, get out of my arena."

Had to hug the nearest dog, which turned out to be Anniedawg, during Marchi's ride. I was thrilled that he rode yet again. I really REALLY need JB to start losing his s h i t and buck off a few times. Anniedawg was not particularly appreciative of the clenching she took for 8 seconds.

They're going to have to nickname JB Pecos Bill, because it looked like he was riding a tornado. Damn, he needs to buck off. Safely, of course. And wait until next year.

Yeah, that dislocated shoulder was AWFUL! Can you imagine the scene in the medicine room backstage when they popped that back in?

Whew, I feel like I didn't take a breath for the entire program. Is it Friday yet?

Yeah. JB needs to start bucking off bad or getting truly awful scores. He also can't win rounds like this.

They finally put up the points scale tonight and I made notes. According to those numbers, if JB wins the next three rounds and Guilherme gets no more points than he did tonight, JB will win the Championship as well as the finals. At this point, I don't care if he breaks a leg. I want him bucking off and I want it now. Dawg will not survive the clenchings by Saturday if JB has not been kicked back about 400 points.

I am thrilled Chicken did as well as he did.  On the Breeder's Connection forum, they had practically written him off as a has-been.  I know he's not at the level he was at last year's finals, but he is nothing to sneeze at, and I think he'll get back to his old form next year if his health remains stable.

Bones sure looked rank!!!  Can anyone ride that bull?  And, of course, Crosswired, looked magnificent.  That bull is going to be famous one day.

Surely J.B. won't win three more rounds!  He picks the rankest bulls, and I don't think he's going to be able to stay on all of them.  This is Marchi's year, and I think he'll win it although I wouldn't be surprised to see J.B. take the event win.

Ok, if I didn't care so much about Guilherme winning, I'd be praising JB for making this an exciting, nail biting, honest to goodness race. But, this is just making me a nervous wreck!!
He needs to fall off one. Just one. But then, at the rate they are going, Guilherme wouldn't be able to fall off more than one either. I don't know how much more I can take.

That shoulder injury made me cringe. I can handle blood and gore, but breaks and dislocations? ::shudder::

I loved seeing Pandora's Box do so well. That is an incredible bull. Always has been and, miraculously, still is.

The only problem I had with JB's bull was that it only went into a spin for barely two full circuits. The rest of the time he just lept and gyrated like a crazy bull. If that had been Reindeer, Dr. Proctor or any other bull doing that, he'd have been scored in the 80's. All in this life I want is a stable scoring system. That's all. If JB's bull is going to get scored that high, so should other bulls.  I personally think that a bull that rank needs to be scored high whether he spins and "helps the rider" or not. So, I agree with the high score, but next time a bull goes nuts like that, but doesn't get into anything more than a half-assed spin, I'm going to be really ticked off if it doesn't get a decent score.

That's my problem with the judging process, too, Jean. To me, it looked like a ride deserving of an even higher score--but that's because I think that a bull that bucks that high and twists that hard is definitely worthy of a huge score. But, then when you think of all the emphasis they put on spinning, then even that score didn't make a lot of sense.

Anyway, I said on Turn Him Out (you'll see it whenever she posts the comment) that the only explanation I could think of for it not being scored higher was because of the spinning. Personally, and I know you don't like JB, but I don't have much of a problem with him*, so here goes--I thought he deserved that score.

But, I also understand the complaint about the non-spinning issue.

*My biggest issue with him so far is the tantrums. *eyeroll* But, like I said in another post, I reserve the right to change my mind.

Nope I don't like JB at all, I don't like men with anger management problems, but as I said in my post, I agree with the score too. That bull was hell on wheels. To me, any bull that is that damned near impossible to ride needs a high score, as does the rider that manages to stick with him. But I know in my soul of souls that within a few months I'm going to see another crazy bull that leaps and twists but doesn't spin worth a damn get scored low.

I like to pretend that I have all sorts of idiot lights that flash on and off for various reasons.  I started thinking about this years ago when I realized my old car had only two idiot lights:  one labeled Thar She Blows that came on about twenty seconds after steam erupted from the engine, and another labeled Hang On To  Your Butt for when anything else bad happened.

I also work in a field where people commonly speak in aeronautese, where sentences have only two words and do not include articles, pronouns or adverbs.  Some of the conversations are positively Homeric:

"Track Arm?"
"Track Capture."
"Resolution Advisory?"
"Track Lost."
"Oh Phooey."

I bring all of this up to point out that when I saw that horrendous shoulder dislocation my Lunch Floating light definitely came on, indicating that my lunch had come loose from its moorings and was drifting around inside me, looking for a way out.  That was awful.  And what's even worse is the notion that Tandy simply popped it back into socket.  I don't know if the cowboy screamed because my own screams drowned him out.

My first thought was that maybe he was doing a cheeky but imperfect impersonation of Mussolini, even though no cowboy in his right mind would do such a thing.  Then I thought he had perhaps broken his wrist.  Then I saw the dreadful replay and my Lunch Floating, Testicle Retract and Scream Enable lights came on.

(Edited to change "idiots that flash" to "idiot lights that flash".  Sheesh.)

It's okay honey. Life would be so much easier if idiots flashed. Then we could turn quickly and walk the other way before they even opened their mouths.
