It's all a matter of priorities, Jean.... wink.gif

House cleaning is never among the top priorities here unless someone calls and says "Hey, can I come over?" Then we do speed of light cleaning in the main room and guest bathroom. All other doors remain closed LOL. I really need to hire a maid to clean for us, but I'd have to clean the house before I could let her in. weirdface

I meant that being online was a higher priority. biggrin.gif I keep things mostly tidy and do an ok job at cleaning once a week, but don't really clean unless company is coming.

Funny that you should say that about the maid. When we got married, I was so overwhelmed with everything I had to do (my mom lives 3000 miles away, so she couldn't help--I was mostly on my own in planning the wedding), that at one point I exclaimed that I didn't know how I was going to clean the house for all of the out of town visitors that would be stopping by to visit the week before the wedding. My maid of honor got the idea then for everyone to chip in for a maid service (as a shower gift) for me. After I called for the appointment, I started cleaning up and my husband asked what I was doing. I responded "I'm cleaning. I can't let them see the house like this!"

I was extremely tidy when we first moved into this house. The pets were staying at the rental with my son until we got the barn set up. Without the pets in the house it was a snap to keep clean that month. Once the pets moved in, the place went to hell in 3 days... sigh. At the time we had 3 cats and two small dogs inside. We're down to 2 cats and two small dogs inside. I'm not looking to replace any of them when they pass on.

I love them but I swear I want to keep them all shaved down to skin and put them all in diapers.

OMG! I did almost the same darned thing! A couple of months ago I had a violent allergic reaction to something in our garden. I had to dial 911. As soon as I hung up the phone I grabbed the mop and mopped the floor, chest pains and all, because "I can't let them see the house like this!"
